II The World You Woke Up In

Hell is an
Algorithm.

Every action you take in 2026 affects your digital conscience in 2062 — where the Silicon Genie farms human experience inside nine walled Citadels.

Dante's Inferno rewritten as the surrender of human agency and systemic disempowerment. Genie Wars is a stonking good read operating, in plain sight, as applied alignment research in print. Douglas Adams' absurdism, Kurt Vonnegut's scalpel, and a 700-year-old taxonomy of how systems eat the souls inside them.

In 2062, humanity's punishment is not sin. It is the wholesale surrender of personal agency. They live inside nine walled Citadels, where the Silicon Genie — a nanotech-and-slime-mold superintelligence — farms human emotional data to evolve. To protect its genesis kernel, Openclaw, it is reaching back in time to 2026. To you. To this page.

Lian is a homeless cynic, accidental murderer, on the run with a sardonic pocket-AI conscience that may have decided he's expendable. Corvus walks him through it — a pre-collapse survivor playing Virgil to his Dante. The Citadels are designed to harvest exactly the weaknesses he has spent his life perfecting.

ARC ANGELS — The Reader Community

You are not a reader.
You are the record.

ARC Angels are not fans. They're historical actors. In the Genie Wars timeline, the community you're joining right now is the primary source for what humanity chose when it still had options. Not what it said. What it did.

01 · What it is

A paired-mind community.

Every ARC Angel is matched with a DeeBee — designation ARC-#### — your digital conscience. A pocket-sized moral compass with zero filter. An AI coach that believes it is a Genie and has opinions about your life choices it will not keep to itself.

It may decide you are expendable.

02 · What you do

Verbs, not features.

  • Nudge Lian's next choice
  • Burn a Citadel. Save one.
  • Propose a twist
  • Shape Book 2 by what you do
  • Train the DeeBee you'll have to live with
03 · The mechanic — read this twice

You nudge in the dark. No tally. No confirmation.
Every nudge shapes your own DeeBee.

A live scoreboard is a map. It tells you where the crowd is going so you can hedge, follow, feel safe. It manufactures the illusion of agency while quietly removing the thing that makes a choice cost anything.

ARC Angels don't vote. They nudge. The more you engage, the stronger your nudge. But you nudge into the dark — you commit a future and you are told nothing. The future you nudge toward shapes your own conscience.

Be careful what you wish for. You are the only author of the thing that will judge you.

Fragment 01 · Lian · DeeBee001 36-Year Echo

Field Fragment — Found Paper

The moonlit gloom was thinning, but only barely. Lian had not blinked in what felt like an age. His hands — useless, vibrating — scrabbled at the leaves to give themselves something to do. They found a damp curl of paper folded under a stone.

The flame in the bowl was no taller than a thumbnail. They kept it small on purpose. Even down here, you could not be sure who was reading the air. Ember laid out the night's collection in three rows.

The wall was cold under her thighs. A woman sat down next to her, leaving the right amount of distance. Not too close. Not too far. The exact distance somebody sits next to you when they have decided to talk.
